The Richmond Fisher House and Foundation
Why the Richmond Fisher House?
Warrior Healing Campaign was formed to leverage existing organizations and in-place infrastructure that can best serve our community's veterans and their families. We're not trying to reinvent the wheel; rather, we're trying to maximize our impact with dollars donated and hours volunteered in pursuit of helping combat veterans reintegrate back home. In that vein, Warrior Healing Campaign is not a 501(c)(3), which is why we're not raising money for ourselves. Instead, we have partnered with a terrific non-profit organization in central Virginia - the Richmond Fisher House - to raise $500,000 for their Foundation.
How Will the Funds Be Used?
The money we donate will go toward providing meals for the family guests to enjoy together in the comforts of the communal dining room at the Richmond Fisher House. Because Warrior Healing Campaign has $0 in actual operating costs, 100% of the money raised by the Campaign goes to support the Richmond Fisher House Foundation. Importantly, the Richmond Fisher House Foundation is a careful steward of the donations it receives. More than 87 cents of every dollar donated to the Richmond Fisher House Foundation goes toward its underlying mission - supporting the Richmond Fisher House and its family guests.
How Much Money Has Been Raised?
Since our inception in late 2014, Warrior Healing Campaign has raised ~$186,000 for the Richmond Fisher House Foundation. Our hope is that the community will continue to support our efforts and help us achieve our ultimate goal of raising $500,000.
