Virginia Wounded Warrior Program - Region Ten: VWWP is a partnership between the Virginia Department of Veterans Services and Community Service Boards (like Region Ten) throughout Virginia. Region Ten's veteran peer specialist, Ben Shaw (an OIF/OEF combat veteran), serves as a knowledgeable resource for veterans - he runs a weekly veteran support group, educates veterans about services available at the VA, and helps facilitate access to treatment for veterans with PTSD, TBI, and substance abuse issues.
